Well you do have a little while. It'll be a bit before we're out of Iraq, and then several years before the big cutbacks come. Even then that usually starts with the higher ranking guys.

Last time they just walked in and said "Who wants their walking papers?" They were retiring E5's with 10 years in the army. Crazy talk, I'll be in the Army until there isn't one, and then I'll make my own.

Really? Everyone I've talked to who was in then said that people who were within 5 years of retiring were offered a trip to korea for 2 years without family or early retirement.
