Sondermans second picture is the one with the "legit " Buell stripes. The black with magnesium stripe plastics were offered by Buell around 2006. I remember seeing them in the parts/accessory book when I bought my 06 SS. they also had deep red plastics with lightning bolt patterns from the accesory catalog. As far as the red /white stripe Firebolt, looks like a dealer or previous owner effort especially with the plaque on the frame. EVERY 2008 had that "signature edition " badge.
met a guy one time and he was bragging how Erik Buell had signed his bike and he pointed to the "signature edition" badge and even told me Erik borrowed his pen ! I just said that's cool and walked off.
Well those aren't US bikes. Those are UK bikes, that's probably why they have Remus pipes.

thats a given man, becuase i immediatly saw the license plate, and those are some goofy lookin europen mofo's haha. i was just commenting that remus may be popular over there or something just here in the US you can get somethign to perform just as well, for less $$$
I think its real, i can tell be looking at the 6 of 50 plate and where it is on the frame, plus the quality of the work, it looks legit. Id bet money on it.

Would you like me to make one of those for you? $150 and you can have it say whatever you want. "Previously owned by Erik Buell"? "Brightbuell Edition 1/1"?
i would think that there is some kind of limited edition BUELL xbs produced. i googled it and found some info. like has anyone heard of the
BUELL XB 12-S edition Diavolo Special
looks like a company nammed r + r customizing did make some but the other ones in the first page maybe legit limited edition. has anyone email erik on his face book?
Speaking about Remus / Sebring mufflers, they look gorgeous[up]. If I was indecently rich this pipe would be an option for me in addition to the Pro Race Buell Muffler of course . It is very well made, has wonderfull sound and even has removable db killers.
But the price is high as a SKYSCRAPER no doubt.
BTW Sebring (Remus looks the same) pipe would be a good match for the OEM (Stock) Header which is BTW also produced by Sebring (Austria). Those guys really know what they do for many years.
Here is the video that I just adore. Craig Jones, professional Buell and Harley-Davidson stuntman shows different tricks and tips for stunting. While doing that he rides the bike with the STOCK muffler during first minute and a half. Then he takes a bike with the PRO RACE (Buell factory made race pipe) MUFFLER and rides it till 4:30 and (O-oh NO-O-O) drops it . And then he takes a bike with the REMUS / SEBRING muffler. So you can compare three different muffler sound while watching this vid. The video and sound quality are not the best but definitely this is unique material.

No offence Bright but Dave is right Dave, what's your profit on that plate $149,99 ???!!! I know you 'll order it from China
Overall quality of the work on Red plastics and White stripes is really not bad. However the quality of the decal on the Front Fairing leaves much to be desired as to the creativity
Not bad customising but the decals and frame plate quality was not enough to persuade most of us that this bike is truely a Limited Edition one
The dealer\owner should have better put a "Limited Edition 2003 Race Stripe Red 1 of 1" on the plate Then this edition could have been even more limited
what about that pirelli edition 1125r they supposedly gave away like 4 years ago. i remember entering the **** outa that contest. and i think they did a special edi. 1125 the last year of manufacturing, maybe[confused]
I saw an Evil Knievel edition at a dealership once and asked what it entailed. They said besides the plastics the motor had been stroked and cammed plus larger throttle body and free flowing exhaust. Never rode it, but I know it started as an xb9r and the salesman repeatedly roasted me on my xb12r at ALL speed and torque ranges.
I have an 06ss that came with the magnesium stripe plastics and wheel stripe option. Like the one pic sondermann. Havent seen another other than in pictures
