I guess you just have to find a good one. It's best to know someone who has already used the shop and had a good experience with them. Here's who I use http://rageracinginc.com/index.html and have nothing but good things to say.
ok they fixed the bike within a few minutes and checked my tire pressure. they where very apologetic again. But on a good note, I found royal purple for 7.60 a quart, no tax!!! so Im about to do my oil change and I also just ordered my low beam HID kit from DDM!!!
ok another question, today i noticed my front wheel is bent. went the bike fell off it was only held on by a front wheel stand. is there anyway that fall could have cause this?
no, the bend is very slight, but i noticed some rubbing noise from my brake pads and then i rode really slow and looked at the wheel and could see if wobble. its really noticeable at about 60mph, i asked the shop about it and they said maybe it needs a fork service but now i know its the wheel. anyone know where i can get a cheap front xb9s wheel?
too bad they are out of stock, thanks for the link. hopefully they will have one in stock when i get back from deployment. these are steel wheels right? so they can be heated and reformed correct?
**** wish I owned a shop where I could charge 60 bucks to change a tire. I know you have overhead and all, but dang. in these times you can hammer shops for deals
i dont know what a good price is but im gunna start a paypal and everyone can donate money to my " Mack needs a new wheel" fund hahaha this kind of sucks, especially cause this is my only vehicle besides my wifes car
Dinuns1, first let me say I only support independent shops like yours, I appreciate your place in communities. As far as what I think is a fair price for a 10 minute job off the bike and a 20-25 minute job on the bike? I'de buy my own irons before I paid 60 bucks for a tire change. you can get a tire change for 25 bucks around here all day long WITH an online purchased tire. I have a two way relationship with my local shop and pay way less than that, but shops around here are drooling for business.
Defender if you start a paypal and put it on here maybe you will get some help! I may even make a donation... just have to reset my paypal cause it was hacked about 2 years ago
Browland- I was only joking, but the more I think about it. This may be my only option. Im going to call the shop today and see if they will sell me one at cost
hey man ya gotta do what ya gotta do. If I needed new tires at the moment I would be walking through my neighborhood knocking on doors with a donation bucket threatening just to sit it in the yard revving all day until I got enough to buy new ones
