hey guys, brand new here. second year with my XB and i love it.
lost my low beam last weekend and can't figure it out. have tried 2 other bulbs and even took the high beam bulb (which is working) and tried it....nothing. looked in shop manual but can't seem to find anything that would help. didn't know if there was a common chaffing area or connector problem that i should look for. been riding around with hi-beam in the mean time.

thank you for any help!!

did you do the dual light mod? That is can you have your high and low beam on at the same time. If so when this mod is performed it puts the low beam on the acc circuit, a different circuit than the high beam so check all your fuses.

i have not messed with the lights...BUT both of my lights are on when my high beams are on if that's what you mean. the bike has been modded a little from previous owner so not sure what is stock and what isn't. i'll check all fuses tonite.

thank you.

is there a headlight mod to improve the low beam lighting? it's horrible. i live in Maine where street lights are a luxury, not a given. lots of deer and moose around too.

thanks again!

you could get a HID kit. Or just get some good quality bulbs. There are a ton of options out there for the H7 style bulb. Also ive heard of some people taking out the reflector piece inside the housing of the low beam side.

There is a ground wire in the low beam head light housing, and the connector will come loose from the wire especially if you are rough replacing bulbs. You may want to check to see that the wire is still fed in to the connector, or that the connector itself is making proper contact on the light housing.

Good luck!
