1) do you know you have a headlight out?
2) what is that a 600?
3) whys it shake so much?
4) why wouldn't you just buy an R1?

people are squares.

"You know you have a headlight out?"
I just say "thanks" and go on.
Takes longer to explain and I don't care any more after hearing that question 1000 times!
That's the other reason I always run both on.

And

Them "Is that a 600?"
Me "YES!! Per cylinder"
And then I got a reply one day, like: "It looks too small to be a 1200, Are you sure?"
I just walked off.

Sorry I'm not going to quote but someone mention that they had a person ask if that was a Ducati........you can't blame people for thinking that. I mean Ducati's (am I spelling that right?) Ducati's dont look or sound like anything els on the road much like a Buell. And the sounds of them both arnt that different. And if some one were to mistaken my bike for a Ducati ( tho I have BUELL in large letters on the side of my tank) that's a complement to me.

And my Boss actuall said the Buell is a poor mans Harley........to I reply "but better"

i dont really get questions......i get statments from both types of bikes. the cruisers say "you need to get a real bike" because its a street bike. then the people on the street bikes say "you need to get a real bike" because it has a V-Twin.....people really get on my nerves....

I think you mean sport bike. All bikes on the street are street bikes. There are cruisers, sport bikes, choppers, bobbers, tourers, sport tourers, sport standards or naked bikes... etc. They're all street bikes though.

Lol why not just buy an r1... because its made in the usa and its way more unique for one. Why not just buy a Harley? Uh because I like to drag a knee from time to time not my pipes. Poor man's harley. Lol when Harley builds a bike that will allow me to do the previous maybe I will buy a Harley...

I never said I took offence to people asking if its a Duck, Just shows me what they know. I mostly just shake my head and walk away.

As far as Buell being a Poor mans Harley, and you passivly agreeing... Both of you are sooooo far off.

you forgot cafe racers :D

I have one to add from about an hour ago. A rather fat, toothless woman asked me "Why do you ride that Jap Scrap?" I pointed out the "American Motorcycles" part of the decal "I guess your teeth fell out because you couldn't read the fucking directions on the toothpaste."

Man thats cold but funny. I just get 'nice bike man' or 'sweet ass buell'.

I get way more compliments than anything.... Sadly, we usually only post the negative comments...

I almost always get compliments and questions (actually inquisitive ones) but today... some dick weed on a rediculously expensive chrome out Harley walk by me when i was standing next to my bike (walked very close to me) and rudely scoffed while he looked @ my bike and them me...[mad]

Being the passive aggressive dumbass that i am... i promptly left the bar doing i 2 gear wheely. That'll show em' Oh well had to vent a lil. I just wish ppl could be less close minded. I dont bag on ne bodies bike(maybe some light hearted shit slinging). I mean its his right to hate a bike that he has no idea what it is, but i saw his and i could smoke that hoopty:D

+1 I dont dislike other brands but ive had gsxr's 5 of them, and an r6, yes there ok butt there no buell thats for sure, and I deff love my buell more than the other bikes ive had or ridden, never ridden a duc but I like the styling.

When I bring my 1125R onto campus, or on base, same comments: Cool! I see the gas (Kick Ash air box), or Holy $#!% that thing sounds like a bike should!

I rode onto Macdill AFB, showed my CAC, and got a nob from the gate guard-- I noticed a Buell sticker on his helmet in the shack, and gave him a good rev.

I love the respect that fellow riders give each other. We are a breed all our own, and would ride with a fellow Bueller without a second thought.

Whenever I'm riding with other non-buellers and we stop, people always walk right up to the buell, Walk right past all the others to admire mine:D

On the road I am always getting the thumbs up. Especially if I ride up on jap sport bike and they look over there shoulder trying to figure out what is coming up. I have been told "damn I thought you were a car your so loud". People give me the thumbs up from the cars and trucks too. I love my buell.
