Nice. Have the same type on mine. ;)

If I recall, the bolts that come with it will be too long so be prepared to go to the hardware store and pick up shorter ones.

Do you remember what size bolt you had to get? I might as well go pick it up before the mirrors arrive.

No, I do not. I just took one of the bolts to the hardware store, used their "sizer" and then found two shorter ones. Sorry I can't help you more.

BTW, be prepared to lose a lot of rear vision. At least for me, the mirrors do not extend far enough out to get a good picture of what's behind you with the mirrors.

Thanks, I don't use the mirrors very much. I always use a head check to make sure before switching lanes. This is more for the looks than anything else. Eventually, I'll probably get a set of bars ends for next season if these don't work out. Just not sure if I would like to look so far down just to check the mirrors.

I like the Velcro idea. I will have to find something I can hook the other side down with. I don't have 2 broken battery straps. :D

Here is a quick shot with the ebay mirrors on my way to work. I'll have to clean her up some and take better pics when I have a chance.

Need some advice on getting the ride ready for this season. I got a quote from a shop to change the engine and primary and they wanted $135 for the service. No thanks, I will do it myself and really get to know my Scg. This is my first bike and have decided I would like to try to do as much of the work on my own. I am in the process of getting everything together to change the engine and primary oil. I have 37xx miles on the bike. What other things should I look into doing? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Enemy Zero, I have found this DIY and the comment on not torquing to the recommended specs. Anything else I would need to do besides the saftey checks? Should I reset the TPS?

Best DIY video you'll find on it right here:

Although DO NOT and I MEAN DO NOT use a torque wrench on the oil drain plug.  Snug up the o-ring and quarter turn only.  You WILL strip the threads if you use a torque wrench.

I would do it just because it's so simple to do on the post 2008 bikes. I would check your primary tension and also adjust your clutch since you'll be in there anyways. There's videos out there for those as well. Very simple to do.
