i have an accident and now is not start the only thing is doing is heard a noise to relay
pls somebody help me

can you give us some more details? by accident did you crash it? what kind of noises does it make when you try to start it anything thatbyou think would help us to help you make sure all the wires are tight and not cut or rubbing together to short them out.

hi thanks for your response!
yes i crashed it. the wires on the surface of the bike seem to be ok but I do not know about the others inside it. The noise it makes sounds like 'tick tick'. I changed the relay but it is not it the problem. I also checked on the top behind the locker, there is a thing which writes 'up' on it and I know it has a ball inside for accidents etc and this is not the problem either. I put the 'electricity' to the starter and it was about to start the machine. So after all I have no idea what the problem is! Could you give me some ideas on what the problem could be? Do you think that the bike might have a mobilizer, like a car and it cannot start? Thank you so much for your help!

The battery might be shorted out...sometimes even with extra juice the battery still won't work. Try a different one.

I believe our bikes have a bank angle sensor so it shuts the bike off if tipped over. I've heard to reset this you have to disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes.

Check your fuses,,,,
You jumped the starter wire and it rolled over?

The starter should have 12volt large wire and a small 12 volt only when it cranks.
Does the neutral light come on?

I am having what seems to be the same problem, but I have never had the bike layed over or anything.

My bike is a 2007 and sat for awhile, only 700 miles untill, the end of this August, and it has started making a tick tick tick noise when it is trying to start, but will not turn over.. However if I continue to try sometimes it will turn over and start.

However, this weekend, I was riding on a long trip, and my buddy had to pull over on the side of the road to put his jacket on, well when we did, I shut my bike off, and Damn the Luck, it just tick tick ticked and would not start at all. About 5 mins later the State Boy showed up, and started questioning. In the end I had to push start it.

Very interested to get the bike home, from college, this weekend, and look into my circuits. I had the battery tested, its good, and all of my fuses are good. I think something has to be loose somewhere, and shorting it out...... Sad Face

battery tested while under load or did you just get a voltmeter on there?

vrontis69, try what bquinn said.
also, how's the liquid level in your battery? no leak while it was on it's side?

thanks for all guys..... i gone try and i told you what happen!!
the only liquid it has it was the oil cooler is broken

I just went to get a replacement battery, and took the old one with me. Before they let me buy a new battery they just put it on the voltmeter and tested it. They said it had plenty of charge.

I went out yesterday and tried to turn start the bike, and it turned right over. I am going to try going on a short ride today with a couple stop at the gas station and another place to see how the bike reacts to some more shutting off and restarting.

I would even check the contacts inside the starter button. take it apart and be careful not to lose the spring inside and clean the touch contacts. It may have arched across and created a burn mark or a contaminated surface that doesn't allow a good contact. It would also be a good idea to add electric grease to help with corrosion and moisture.

After all of the drama, My bike simply ended up being a loose battery cable.

Thanks for the help guys.

Okay, Once again ha, It is not the battery cables. I now believe that when I am hitting the starter to start the bike, if one of the pistons is at Top Dead Center, then it wont be able to fire, untill it gets to a lower position, so the starter is having problems. If I continue to bump the starter untill it begins to turn the motor, then it fires and will turn over.

My neighbor is a HUGE harley person, and told me that one a lot of harleys that the starter that they put on is not big enough to turn the motor over if one of the pistons is at TDC.

Does this make sense to anyone, because it seems to be working better for me.

After I went for a ride yesterday, after "fixing" my battery cables, the bike made the same sound and wouldnt turn over.

it's a 1200cc bike and you will have trouble turning over smoothly when at tdc, but should start right up directly after that.

this, however, should not be happening constantly...since it's impossible to end up at tdc 100% of the time

Well, As all has been good advice so far. I still have not solved the problem.

Sometimes the bike starts fine, but then sometimes it just starts clicking really loud, and wont even try to turn the starter.

I went for a ride yesterday, started fine when I left the first place, started fine at my brothers house, started fine at the gas station, but at my last stop, it just did its clicking thing and wouldnt start.

I am going to tear the starter off over Christmas break from college, and get it tested to hopefully see if thats the problem, but I would be pretty surprised to see the starter bad, at only 1900 Miles on the bike.

This is a real outside chance but the next time you have the problem try pulling the clutch in and try the starter.

I have seen similar symptoms on several XB's caused by the neutral switch. The clutch switch provides an alternate ground for the start relay and can be used to isolate a neutral switch issue.

I will look into that the next time I am home from school, I had to leave the bike at home this weekend when I came back out to Penn State.

Sadly I wont be going home untill Thanksgiving but I will update then, thanks for the tips.

Well, I got home last night, went to start the bike today to go for a ride, but all it does is still click. I undid the battery, tried starting with clutch engaged, and disengaged, still no luck. I guess I am going to have to get the voltmeter our and try to find something. Very frustrating
