Ok chaps so i got my rotors back after 4+ months! They travelled all the way to California and back and yes you guessed it they are still silver colour!! £80 to get them there in a hurry, 4+ months of TOTAL bullsh1t and then i had to pay another £80 to import my own rotors into my own country because they listed them with a value of $200! WTF!! and to add insult to injury they were just packed in thin cardboard with one strip of packing tape to hold the two rotors apart which it didnt so now my brand new in the box EBR front rotor looks second hand!! Sorry to unload this on You all but its so pissed me off i have to release some pressure!!

Sorry for the unfortunate outcome tony and thanks for keeping us updated. I hate to bring it up but are you going to continue the hunt for black rotors or are you just going to leave it as is?

Thanks Bambam its still my dream to have black rotors so yes the quest continues but it will be hard to believe anyone again after this! I just want to ride my bike now to forget this but yes one day i WILL have black rotors for sure! lol And djs thank you too mate and you are so right i can live without the rotors but i wouldnt want to live without Julia!! :love_heart:

^^^ fairly local where i got the forks done but unfortunately it not a good coating for brakes, yes its hard wearing but too slippery (low friction) but thanks for the thought! for the photos i dreamt of taking i could get a chemical blackening kit and do it at home, it wont last 5 seconds but i would get my photos!! :eagerness:

My Plastidip option is still in the lead.
:applause:

That stinks that they did such a crappy job on the shipping. Personally i would send them an invoice

Lusipher Plastidip could still win at this rate! Lol You are right about the invoice too but i just want to walk away now or at least wait until the £/$ exchange rate improves again! ha ha ha :D Goodnight for now chaps and thank you all for caring! Enjoy the rest of your day! :eagerness:

I was a big supporter of the Lyndall brakes but them treating Tone like this makes me certain I'll be looking for a different brand to support.

Gloom yeah they said first of all they would make the "special" rotors for me thats why i sent my rotors to them to copy but then they wanted $4500 for a "custom" build so i said no way sorry, then the plan was to coat mine which never happened! It was just all the lies (cant think what else to call it) and the broken promises, i could NEVER get a straight answer, they kept praising me for my enthusiasm for their product well maybe they need to be a bit more like me then! Paul is a really nice intelligent person to talk to and i am not anti Lyndall its just their organisational and customer skills stink! Chickn i reckon their rotors are still bloody amazing! i would buy them again if they were actually in my hand first!! in one of our last chats i was finally told that the black coating does NOT stay on no matter what you do so much that the black is not done anymore all rotors are a dark gunmetal colour! now why the F**K didnt he say that in the first conversation!!! I do still love the rotors capabilities though and the reduced unsprung weight should be really noticeable so for track times improvements i would imagine they would be awesome!! Sorry to be so down on this its very unlike me its just deflated me a bit! :sorrow: ha ha ha

common knowledge of brake component companies among motorcycle dealers:
EBC-outstanding dealer service....outstanding products....great communication capability....#1 industry rep
FERODO- outstanding dealer service....great products...above average communication capability....#2 industry rep
LYNDALL- failing grade to all of the above........with decent products...............lowest industry rep

and now you know why. for what it's worth just plain ignorance and unadulterated laziness to ship a used part to an overseas customer and mark the shipping label/customs form with a value HIGHER than the original list price of the part.....AND NOT PUT "used cycle part" in contents description. THAT is pathetic.

Thanks John thats really interesting information to know as i thought they would be on top of their game but it just goes to show you cant always take companies at face value! I mean with everything going on in the world right now this little problem is totally insignificant its just a big disappointment! but never mind onwards and upwards as they say! John with your last two sentences you hit the nail on the head its that shipping mistake that pissed me off the most!! Hey at least now you know why i am called "Tone The Moan" ha ha ha :eagerness:

That is very kind of you John as always thank you! and i now know that when it comes to you that is a genuine offer and as always it means a lot to me! The sense of community on this forum is totally awesome! I may never have met any of you yet but you are all on my "Trusted Mates" list!! BuellXB renews my faith in Human kind!! :eagerness:
