Hello all!
I have wanted a Buell for over a decade and finally got one. 2007 xb12s, cherry bomb, 14K miles, and what I think is a pretty good price. Runs ok but does need some TLC and some cosmetic fixes and a couple of electrical and mechanical ones. Been looking for various parts all night. Coming from a 2010 Yamaha FZ6R that I bought out of the crate, so learning to be more patient and make this a project. Glad to be here!

Welcome, lwclancers! Congrats on fulfilling your Buell desires! :D Love the cherry bomb color! Lots of good info on this forum. I've found that doing Google searches for your questions including Buell XB in your search works pretty well in getting to information quickly. That said, if you have trouble finding what you are looking for, don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks Submax! Appreciate it. The forum has already helped me a ton, and made me ask more questions haha. Through some poking I've found some bonuses the previous owner didn't realized (such as the lower sitting seating, I believe from the scg, which I really wanted. Little white dot ID on the bottom of the seat gave it away). The knowledge of the previous owner (he was the 2nd) was made up for the fact he had some heavy service done such as new wheel bearings, front rotar, new battery, new rear tire, new belt).

But I think I need a new muffler assembly and brackets, and some sort of fender eliminator/signals combo (especially for VA inspection laws). Little stressful looking for stuff but I'm excited for the project aspect of it

Nice! I'm looking at buying a 2007 xb12scg in cherry bomb. I love the translucent red.

As I am looking over my bike for previous work, and things I want to do, I am finding that mine has (almost I think) been converted to an scg: lowered fork, yellow spring, scg seat. Checking my kickstand later to see if that was updated also

Confirmed in another thread it's actually an SCG (via checking the VIN). I just noticed that the front brake fluid is AWFUL. Reservoir looks almost empty and what I can see looks kind of milky yellow :-\ Rear reservoir looks a bit better. Definitely not taking this for a state inspection any time soon. Going to have to flush the lines really really well.

Welcome Cherry bomb neighbor to the north. I've got an 09 Cherry bomb XB9SX to the south of you. Nothing like a Buell. Watch out for the cagers and have fun.Buell Storm Trooper.jpg
