Thanks guys. This was the first morning I woke up and didn't need to start poppin pills imediatley. Decided to wrench on my bike a little today since riding could be a pain. I got a box full of goodies... where to start? Hehehe.

Oh man, I feel your pain!! I had a decent day out a couple winters ago, and took out my now stolen yz250. End of the day I was rippin a narrow pine needle covered trail that was hiding frozen ground. My back end slid out on a turn and i had no room to recover. Pin-balled off 3 trees and did a 20 foot belly flop into the middle of the trail. Diagnosis: Bruised sternum and sprained ribs (didn't even know you could sprain em) Missed work time: 1 week (should've been more) Lesson learned: Chest protector's are a good investment. Hang in there, and I wish you a fast recovery! P.s, was riding one day behind a quad and watched him catch a root with his left rear tire. It completely flipped the quad forward and over. Buddy was ok, but he didnt ride again for a while!

I'm down here in the Southern end, just west of Medford. ODNRA is way better than Christmas Valley IMO. ;)
Took the quads and ATC's this trip...:p

Looks like a good time Oregon. Even on sand 3-wheelers are super sketchy tho!

So I am definitely on the mend. Surprisingly I am still feeling it tho. I can breathe again but damn my ribs still hurt. I had a follow up with my doc and she said my trip to the dunes is not a good idea. I kind of expected that and will probably spend more time at camp enjoying some barley soda and if I do ride I will just cruise and not get crazy.

But what gets me is.... she told me not to ride my Buell?!?! What the hell? The street is not that bumpy and the weather is awesome right now. I want to RIDE!!!

I WANT A SECOND OPINION! I think I am going to have to disregard what she had to say... maybe I will just go for a nice relaxing smooth ride. Doctors... psht... what the hell do they know anyway?!?

The problem is with your ribs broken even the low speed crash if you hit wrong could break / splinter bones and puncher a lung.

3 cracked ribs 2 broken vertibrae and a lacerated spleen and liver. sprained jaw sprained wrist and other problems. everything hurt to do. missed 1/2 a year of school or so.

Twobuells... that makes sense... I should take it easy and heal... I did ride my X1 for a couple hours yesterday and got my fix.

Oregon... yes they are fun but I think back to when I was a kid and rode over my left leg... ripped me clean off the saddle and scared the hell out of me... heel guards didn't come till a few years later ;)

I got off easy comparitively and should take it easy... I'm not a kid anymore... ride safe!

Think I have a short ride in me today... not the quad... ;)
