Don't buy a Volkswagon my wife has had many problems with hers. They bend over and dry hump you for any service. She just bought a Chevy Impala and loves it. Buy American the job you save just might your own

Americans sell used cars of all makes. A used Chebby doesn't give any more Americans jobs than a used Honda or VW or whatever.
You may want to check the country of origin on that wimpala too. GM builds a lot of cars in Canada, Mexico, and even Korea.

Volkswagens are know for being less reliable than most but that TDI is a GREAT package.
I've been pretty happy with my Ford Focus thus far. 185k miles and I'd trust it anywhere. It and it's sister car, the Mazda 3, have probably the best FWD chassis on the market today. These things are the Buell of the compact car world: great chassis, awesome handing, mediocre power.

My advise, stay away from German cars and mazda, any new dodge product (the trucks aren't too bad) European cars are hard to get parts for and expensive to fix compared to a domestic or jap car. New Chevys and Honda, Toyota, and subarus are great cars. That's my advise. Been wrenching on cars for a living for over 10 years.

You're totally right, but holy **** do I love my Audi A4 Avant, cost of repairs be damned!

My next car is the Fiat 500. Love the look and pretty cheap. Good gas mileage.
They're fun cars to drive, not fast by any means but fun anyway. If your tall watch your head getting in and out, it hurts, trust me !

Pontiac Grand Prix Gt. Mine has been an absolute tank, and I think for what it is, it looks pretty tight with solid gas mileage.

Tdi golf with a chip and exhaust mine is getting near 200hp at the wheels 450lbs tq and it is a hell of alot of fun to drive not to mention the 55mpg and i still pull my bike trailer with it. find another car that can do all that besides another tdi.

Hey Captain Chos at least most of the money stays in the good old U.S.A. so eat me.

TJs dont do too bad on the highway, I had an 01 with 33s and 3-4 inch lift and drove it back and forth from indiana to tenesee a ton. It was a 4.0 with a 5speed. It wasnt pulling down 35mpg or anything but with premium i could get about 300 miles out of a full tank compared to a 240 or so on regular. Plus there awsome to have during the winter, or for going where ever you want to in them.
