Hey Everyone,

the blast is in the shop again. leakin a bunch of oil out the top of the push-rod cover. I just tried to get in touch with zipper's bout they're chrome looking covers that are really sweet. I haven't heard back yet though. The cometic gaskets i got for the push-rod weren't good. way too thin. but here is what i need. If you know where i can get it please let me know!

In the red is what was no good.

What year and engine? The part in my 2007 Lightning parts book calls this "GASKET, push rod cover front" part number 17608-00Y. $6.32 each at Lakeshore Harley

its just the buell blast 2002 p3.

also. one of the front motor mounts likes to keep breaking off inside the motor. its really not cool. lock tite kept it in but it still broke off. almost looks like it twisted off. any ideas on why it keeps doing that?

We bought a blast that had a front motor mount boot broke off in the engine. I replaced it with a grade 8 bike from lowes. Worked great

NEGATIVE on the this now. stared blankly at google till i figured out what to type in. ended up finding out that the xb12s use the same thing. found the item on https://shop.newcastlehd.com/ this is a parts site and not a forum. type in the item code from a parts catalog or somewhere that has item codes and you will find it.

Thanks for the help.
If anyone has anyother info on where to get parts then that would be appreciated.

Crazyblast, your post is very confusing. What does "NEGATIVE on the this now" mean? Does the part number I provided list to the same part you need for your bike? In other words, will the 2007 Lightning part work for your particular bike? Are you now asking how and where to find that particular part? Please be more specific.

If you are sure you have the proper part number you can go to:
www.lshd1.com
www.latus-harley-davidson.com
www.surdyke.com

or many other HD dealers and look for the "Parts Search" box or similar space on their site. Type in the part number and if it comes up, they have it or can get it.

The particular part number 17608-00Y for the 2007 Lightning does come up at Lakeshore HD, www.lshd1.com for $6.32 each. If you have questions, give Lakeshore a call. The part illustration in my 2007 parts book looks exactly like the image in your pic but I can not be sure they are compatible with one another. Lakeshore HD should have a parts book for your specific year and model to get the exact part number and availability you need. Just give them the name and part number from my previous post and tell them you need the same type of part for your specific bike. Hope this helps.

Thank you. and yes I understand how it sounds confusing. I meant that I found the piece from a website using your code. it is the same as far as i know. I misplaced my parts manual so i had no idea about what code it would be.
Thank you very much on the input. The price you have is the same price i got.
Again, Thank you.

OK, just wanted to make sure you had your questions answered, (at least with as much information as I have available to me). Good luck with the project, hope you get back on the street soon.
