that side is to big as far as the shaft is concerned.

Found it, it goes in between the clutch shell and the bearing that is in the case. In the diagram its called Thrust Washer, outer.

Problem solved, and crisis averted. Was hoping I wouldn't have to re-split my cases as im trying to get the engine in the bike tonight!!!!

Pistons, jugs then heads on the motor, then im gonig to put it in the bike. Then just assemble everything else when its on the lift
