Alright as some of you know my Bolt has been down almost two years since I did a tail swap over to the Lightning tail. I got it going a few months ago and took off to ride it to work, got about three miles from the house and it started misfiring/backfiring out the pipe and chugging, I pulled the clutch in and it stopped. Put it back in gear grabbed some throttle and it started again. Turned around and drove it home. it was a kinda warm morning and after I got home I noticed the fan never came on rode at least 7 miles and it got pretty warm! Been thinking it was the fuel pump since but with the fan not coming on I am wondering if it isnt another issue? Bike has stock ECM and a gutted XB pipe from the previous owner. Wanting to get it riding again anyone got any ideas or ways I can check it? Its an 06 XB12R(S tail) with less than 9k on the clock. Also speaking of clocks, everytime I start the bike prior to the swap, and after, the low fuel light and low fuel Odo would come on and go off ater a few miles and the clock would reset everytime, just prior to the swap the Low fuel would come on randomly while riding? Need some help guys/gals dont wanna part this thing out and scrap it!!! And no I dont wanna sell the Select Seat, Heli-bars, or Lightning tail section, or other parts right now!!
