NEED HELP WITH MODE BUTTON

I left my bike in the rain, and now my mode button won't work at all. This wouldn't be an issue if there wasn't a security code programmed into it. I have the instrument cluster off and apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Damn that sucks! Only thing I can think of right now is to put it in a bowl of rice and let The Rice wick all the moisture out of the cluster. I'm guessing/hoping that the cluster is undamaged and only dysfunctional due to the moisture.

The IC is sealed, so I'm not sure water got in it but that is the only thing that makes sense. This also happened approximately 2 months ago, so it has had plenty of time to dry out if that was the case. They are running $200 on fleabay......I may just end up selling the bike altogether.
