hi there guys.
just joined here on the site, wondering can anybody help me, i have a 06 xb12r firebolt, problems i have is when the bike is cold, it fires out the airbox and splutters until warm, then when warm, on decelaration, it splutters alot from the exhaust! the exhaust is not standard, dont know what make it is, but it does have the interactive valve in it, tps/static timing??????

Second: the fuel pump isnt badly noisy, but i do find while riding higher speeds i can hear it clearly, also gets very noisy just before th fuel lamp comes on, is it normal?

where can i get the data connector, software, for connecting to my ecm (stock)?

1. Cold misfires are a pretty common problem for Buells. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just let your bike warm up sufficiently before riding it.

2. Popping on the decel is common for aftermarket exhausts. Especially straight-through designs. This can be remedied by tuning the fuel map to tailor your application.

3. Fuel pump noise is pretty common on Buells as well. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

4. ECM cable can be had on eBay, or from Mike as a build-your-own kit (for WAY cheaper) at www.xoptiinside.com

Thanks for that, Sweating alot less now
Another problem i have, my bike had a bridgestone battlax bt-50 rear tire and the dunlop sportmax stock tire the bike came out with, the bike has been riding like a dream until i changed my front tire due to wear, i changed it to the matching bt-50 tire for the front, the bike handles like absolute rubbish, if i twitched my ass, moved the handles even a nanomillimeter, or went over 120km/h, if was completely unstable in the sense it snakes/weaves all over the place, so bad that i have changed my tire today after only 120km on it to a bt-oo5 tire, the difference in tire is that that it doesnt have a center groove, very similar to the dunlop, heard lots of theory's from rake angle, to musnt have a groove, to bike being front heavy etc.
anybody experience anything like this??
have not test driven the bike with the new tire yet, weather not great yet
