Just worked out a deal with a buddy at work.

Just picked up a 07 Buell xb12stt . 1900 miles on it. It has a new rear tire as the old one had a nail, Jardine exhaust (new) , and rear foot pegs. also had the side panels removed. I have always loved the style of these bikes. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I havent had a bike in 18yrs. (36 now) First bike was a yamaha fj600. Loved it. Been reading here all day. Thanks for all this info. I hope I posted this in the right forum. Thanks Much

Welcome, I know that excited and nervouse feeling. I had'nt owned a bike in 25 years. Been riding again now for two and half. Since then I've owned five bikes and still have three. Its addicting. Be careful.

Thanks Guys. I am trading my past addiction. My saltwater reef tank. I have been that for years. Time to move on. I pick it up in 2 weeks. No big rush with the snow on the ground here.lol.

here is a pic he sent me before the exhaust and foot pegs were added

My question is... The seat is a solo right ? but it has the added pegs on it now. Do I need to change the seat? and if so what is suggested. Plus, the "D" on the front. lol no offence but I am not a detroit fan so I would like to just get a new panel. Any suggestions there as well ?

Looks nice man! Not sure about the seat[confused]

Is the "D" a decal? If so, just peel it off.

I thought about that but its just vinyl over the white. So I amy just do that.

I read the 12ss long seat will work.

It came down to this bike or wait on the new honda 700x.
after hearing this thing I had to have the buell. It has so much more personality.

sorry what I meant was that it has a no passenger embossed in it.. just makes me feel uneasy about giving my daughter a ride.

Welcome, have a good time on your bike, it does have more personality than the scooter-like honda 700x. It looks 1000x better, and as you've already said, sounds better. It has a "soul" if I may say, that makes you want to ride more and more. Plus it's not generic mass market everyday stuff like the honda ;)

Welcome to the addiction that is Buell, you no longer will have any extra time to think about anything but riding, I have a Uly, don't know much about seat options for the others, but I am sure someone will chime in,

The bike has Jardine Exhaust and the previous owner said I would need the emc upgraded he thought. I havent riden it yet but it runs fine so it seems. its cold here.lol

Milwaukee/Madison here, but ship to Quantico, VA end of February, too bad. Thread Jack over...
