New HD bike...

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

No. The V-Rod came out in 2002 after Porsche collaborated with HD on the engine design. There are two current V-Rod models, the Muscle and the Night Rod Special.

What I don't understand is HD trying to attract "younger" demographics with their new bikes..........but they had already done that with buell.

After the divestiture I will never own a harley...ever.

Dont you owe people on here money or clear timing covers still?

Yup, something like that. Just disappeared! I ended up pay up his debt to people here on the board for the sake of Buellxb. I sent them as far as Twoguns in Australia. Water under the bridge I guess.

On a totally unrelated note ...

this will be the bike that kills HD.

Found out today that HD has ordered all Dealers to support the sale and distribution of this bike. if they refuse to stock this bike they will have their dealership revoked.

Why ya say that ???

Also ... I don't think the video I tried to post earlier actually posted ...

Here it is again ...

This is a just project to gauge interest and get feedback. "...Any final decisions about whether to bring an electric motorcycle to market – and when – will be made at a later date." So this particular bike will not be for sale. If the tour comes to my area, I'll definitely stop by and take a look!

There is an article in the June 30th issue of Time - believe it or not! There isn't much technical info on the bike, but there is a large two page picture.... It sure as heck looks a lot like an XB.

The article gave some info on Harley's state of affairs. The company did 5.8 billion in sales in 2006 but dropped to 3.1 billion by 2010. They didn't rebound so well even after the market started picking up. According to the article, much of Harley's loss of sales and failure to fully recover was due to -surprise, surprise- the good ole boys managing the company like they always have. Apparently there's been a big management shake up and the company is now looking for ways to tap into other market segments - especially abroad - hence the 500 and 750 Streets and now what looks like a concept bike that could easily go into production. Interesting stuff.

74hp and 52 ft/lbs pretty impressive considering what a sportster has. But one lyrics 50 mile range right now
