Hey guys name is Jarrett I am currently buying a 2008 buell XB 12 R. Its on this link and has next to no miles...MY BIKE


Well i got the thing for 6300 so i think i got a decent deal and it was owned by a member of the family who owned the dealer ship so i know its been serviced by HD. I'm already trying to figure out what exhaust to buy any tips or suggestions are appreciated. well thought i would introduce my self to the forum.

how is there only 600 miles on that bike. its been riding weather for a week now and ive put over 360 miles on my bike... what a find man. that bike looks slick.

hawk exhaust seems madd legit i take it I would need to have the cpu remapped?and it only looks like a slip on dont i want a complete system i mean i dont wana be cheap with the bike i want quality parts

Hey guys so im looking at going with the hawk based on the fact that if i bought a keda i would half to shell out more money to get it black... now are there any guys on here from around the jersey tristate area that would like to give me a hand remapping my ecm and putting on an exhaust?

I would say drummer or remus too. Idk im kinda bias cause i have a drummer ss. The only other exhaust i like the sound as much is the remus and you can feel them both pull much harder than stock but yes definitely get a ecmspy

I have a Micron pipe on and it sounds awesome, just them damn headers.......lol
but i am getting used to them.... and i have bought a larger right side air scoop so should hide the part i dont like.

ok so i went wednesday to pick up my bike and wouldnt you know it wont start, the bike only has 680 miles on it and i think it might be a combination of bad gas with fouled plugs....either way the HD stealership is robbing me blind and is dicking me around with getting the bike serviced. I wish i had a garage or even just a truck so that i could get it some where and wrench on it my self..... if any of you guys are from around the jersey area and wana help let me know.... at this point i just want to ride my bike! [mad]

yeah i just called they said its running and that they are test riding it as we speak, thank god its done, they ended up doing the 1000 mile service so all my fluids will be changed and the whole bike got check from clutch adjustment and what ever else they were suppose to do....only cost me a cool frigging 325 FML and got new plugs.... at this point i just want my bike and i will never be going back to the stealership again... I can do all the work to this bike and from what i can tell every one on this forum seems legit in the sense they that you guys know what your talking about..... oh and ill have my bike this monday cant wait to ride it ill post some more pics monday.

am i reading this right? the dealer that is selling you the bike is charging you an extra $325 to get a bike running that they are trying to sell???

so what happens if after they get the bike running you tell them you dont want it? do they really think youre going to pay?

if this is the case id tell them to eat shit and go some where else...

Hold on sport, do not, repeat do not, pay a penny for the 1000 mile service. These clowns are not giving the bike away at $6300.... no sir, far from it. And if they are selling a "like new" bike, they need to be delivering a "like new" bike.

It's a beautiful bike, but that's about the single sleeziest thing I have heard of out of a dealer. At 600 odd miles, you should be getting a basically new bike.... Pay the $6300 you agreed to, not a penny more. Tax, title, documentation notwithstanding.

long story short i bought the bike from fletchers Harley Davidson in Clearwater florida, and had it sent to the dealership where i just moved to in jersey. Since i wasnt there to purchase the bike and it was sold as is I am having to eat the bullet on this bike. I called the dealership i bought it from but i purchased the bike as is and it was also a consignment bike. The person i bought it from was a relative of the family who owned the dealership in florida. Basically im getting shafted but at this point i half to take it up the ass.... The first thing im doing tomorrow is going and buying my self tools so i can do all the work on this bike my self... I just told them to do all the fluids and plugs etc so i have no more issues... i work 64 hours a week so my riding time is precious.
