I'm having not a lot of luck with my 07 xb12r...I just put smaller bike master turn signals in the bike and now it won't turn over and I have no headlights. No fues r blown and I swapped the relays around. Nothing. What should I be looking at?
well, i unplugged all the turn signals and still nothing...everything lights up and comes up except headlights which are hid's....and it does nothing when u hit the starter button...and i am in nuetral...
no cranking....battery is always on a tender...
i found the starter makes 1 click if i pull the clutch lever in....although its in nuetral....killswitch is off...
whats the kickstand switch? thats when it happened, i took it off the lift, wheeled it into detached garage, put the kickstand down and tried starting it and found it had nothing.....and i rode the thing last sat...so i know its gotta be something simple...
little more info....the dash lights up...but when i turn the key, the needles dont cycle and the odometer never shows numbers....headlights dont work, but everything else does....no clicking from the starter....
pretty sure there is no kickstand senor either....
any ideas? def no fuses blown and ive mixed and matched the relays every which way.
Could be the HID's or just a bad battery. Check with a meter to see if it's charging while running. I just helped my neighbor replace his stator on his Blast. There is a link at the top of the page for manuals if you don't have one.
ok...took the battery off and slow charged it at 2amps.....put it back on and when its cranking im getting 9 volts and only 10.2 volts with it hooked up to the bike with the ignition off....bad battery then?
really dont want to start hooking booster packs to it.....but is that something i could try without hurting it? this bad battery thing just happened out of nowhere.
I would say you need a new battery. I had a similar issue, had the battery tested a few times and it always showed good but the problem persisted. Bought a new battery and haven't had an issue since.
Yeah. It's official it's the battery. What's the best battery for these bike? Shorai lithiums worth it? Or is there something better with some good cca's?
No. It holds just under 12v not a full 12. I put a boost pack on it and it fired right up. What about that scorpion battery. The lithium one has over 300
Cca
Never mind those high-dollar, fancy batteries. The Deka is the same battery HD sells with a different wrapper and it'll last for years. I'd be more concerned about finding what discharged the old one. Did you have a no charge/discharge issue before you installed the LEDs?
Then I guess I'd have a look at those siggy's and everything else you touched. Make sure they're wired correct since you say you have no issue BEFORE you installed them. Unless you simply left the key on at some point and flattened an already weak battery
