34nineteen - I dont think so. I've wanted one of these for a long time.
Barrett - Right, nice Gloom referance.
Cooter - Lol

You sure about that? LOL. Nice bike, nonetheless.

I subscribe to Tom's idea about doing the old 2 stroke mix on an XB.

Dont listen to CoOter. He's a jerk.

I see we have some Bro-mance on here.:D
Can anyone tell me if Buell used real sharkskin on any of the lightning seats? The PO of my bike said the seat cover was sharkskin.

Its more like a Ho-mance.

Some XB (Lightning) seats received smooth vinyl, others got a textured vinyl from the factory. Some models had a perforated vinyl covering.

You can kind of see the texturing on this one:

Mine came with rich Corinthian leather hand stitched by Eric Beull himself, at least thats what the PO told me.

Here is a link to a P&A catalog if you want to see what WAS available back in the day.

Looks like you have a set of the uber-rare Traction handgrips on there.

CoOter is still a jerk.

Cool links! Gonna get some close up pics for you. By the way I loved my '76 Cordoba and its red Corinthian leather. Was your seat red? LOL.
Don't know how a "Senior Premium Member" could be a jerk, but I'm thinking maybe Cooter owes me money too.

Quick question. Or two. There isn't any extra steps that need to be done when replacing your battery, is there? And how many amps does a good starter pull?
