The air box cover and tail section were blue and it looks like the fairing was replaced with a white one some of the crappy paint is chipping off not sure how I`m gonna get the rest of it off thou but i got all winter to figure it out since we just got a couple inches of snow here in Michigan today.

yeah Id strip it down with mabye mineral sprits.. then hit it with some buffing compound and an orbital buffer from Advance Auto or something. Mineral sprits are real gentle.. then Id trade the white part off for some blue ones. The XB looks real good in blue.

OR
You could sand it down to the plastic and hit it with some plastic primer and maybe paint the pieces black.. Black with silver frame looks good too.

whever you do. youre gonna have to get those farings off.. real easy job. You to a set of Torx head wrenches? If not, they are cheap to buy.

Once you get all that ******** off (and the passenger pegs) you can get started in the comfort of your own home. Id go with just the paint removal plan first, If I were you. Try to get it back to stock. The factory plastic colors were real good. Then Id ditch that front faring and that windscreen if need be. Is that windscreen stock? It looks kinda high in that photo, the stock one was nice and low.. like an old Ducati.

I think for 2 grand you cant beat it!! I cant wait to see how it turns out. Do whatever you want with it i like the orange and black idea even if it is harley colors I think if its done right it can look awesome. Good luck with everything man..

Thanks for the advice and encourigment, I got all the tools to work on and paint it just need the time and some warmer weather even with the 50,000 btu torpedo heater kicking in the garage its hard to get motivated to drag my butt through the snow to the garage.
