How do you get that machined look on the sprocket in the rear

take the rear tire off and carefully hit it with a dremmel with a sanding tip. just taking the black paint off the edges. takes a couple minutes of your time.

yeah thats kind of what i figured but i wasent 100% sure thats what you did.... looks cool in my opinion.

TCaces, nice looking bike. How/what did you do to get that tail section? Does it just bolt on or is there more to it?

It was an r model but the r and a are direct bolt on swaps. It's just you have to hide wires since the a has the wires in the tail

My 05 xb9sx second bike really fun
Custom bar end mirror to keep the handgard, shorty levers, rim tape, slim turn signals, Vance and hines exhaust . Still have to chop the tail and more mods

This is my Sons (his screenname is champion1)2004 XB12R ,we got it for 2800.00 with less that 5000 on the odometer. The XB is in overall excellent condition for a 10 year old bike.We bought it from a friend of mine who bought it new so I know its history. Its been sitting up for a few years ,but we are working on it as we can.It has some light cosmetics issues, broken taillights and mirror, but we have bought those items here of the forums and are planning on installing tomorrow. It also had some bad gas and sludge in the bottom of the tank, and possibly a bad fuel pump, still I don't think we did bad for what we paid.He is very excited about getting her going.Im a ole Harley guy myself so,im just as excited for him as he is! We will post progress pics as we get em done.
