Hey everyone! just bought a 2007 Buell 1200 STT. So far I love the bike and the handling. I also have a 1200 Sportster that I just rode from Alaska to Oklahoma. Glad to find a forum for Buell lovers! Anyways I wanted to know if I would be able to lower the STT in the rear as I'm standing on my tiptoes. Also a decent exhaust that is not to loud with a good exhaust tone. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum! American Sportbike has an exhaust shootout on their website complete with soundbites. There are also several threads on the forum if you do a search. As for lowering links, I am sure someone will chime in. Have fun and ride safe.

Instead of altering the suspension linkage, you might be able to just fit a lower seat.

or lengthen your legs? jk welcome and you have a couple of very nice bikes there

holy carp! Love the bike, I see you must be into customizing, I recommend remove the belt guards, sand/brush/polish the lip of the rear sprocket, remove the caution stickers, pick some different mirrors you like and trim the tailpiece, I found a great aluminum replacement (the link is in the DIY section)

Lastly, I love my Buell Race Exhaust for power, tone, and decibel level but they're hard to come by as they are discontinued, I'd keep an eye on ebay for one while you shop...

welcome! you can look for a lightining long touring seat. it lowers the riding position 1" compaired to stock. buellparts.net has them, try the link at the top of the home page.[up]

Hi-
I'm new here too. The bikes look great! We have a thread going on "stock exhaust options". Check it out...you've got nothing to lose if you're thinking of replacing the factory muffler anyways.
