sad day for buell,,,im surprised they lasted this long..Harley did back them as long as they could ... felt bad for erik ....i do believe Harley service shops will turn here back rather quickly and parts will be delivered my turtles

LETS UNITE AND ALL JOINTLY BUY THE COMPANY!!!! I AM A STUDENT SO I ONLY HAVE ABOUT $8,000 TO THROW AT IT....BUT WITH ENOUGH OF US...COME ON WHOS WITH ME?!?!

Im praying BRP/CAN-AM buys the brand from Harley. Buell already uses their motors, has an established dealer network and would fill out their product line along with Victory and CAN-AM. I think the Buell would flourish under that company. I would love to see a XB with a bigger version of the Outlander motor in it. That thing would rock.

and oh yea, F@#K Harley, I will never buy another thing from their sorry asses. Bottom line leaches..........

Thank god the stock holders are saved.... They will remember this deed for about 2 seconds and then forget. Thus placating Wall Street.

at this point I wish I had the money to buy a CR I sure they are going to start cutting prices like crazy... but this seals the deal for me the Lightning will be my collectors item as I was going to sell it when I wanted to move up to a CR but not anymore...

I can buy a new 1125cr for less than what I just paid for my 2007 lightning........ GAH! Should have waited! LAME

By golly!! That sucks, I guess it is the Ducati Monster 1100 for me! I really liked Erick Buell's innovation, I just wish he had put a Ducati V-twin in that frame! At this point even a Hyusang V-twin engine will work.

Well I have a warranty for 7 years. HD better do good by me. Just my luck. First new bike in years and they go under. I guess we have no other choice but to keep them cause no one will give us what they are worth to us if we tried to sell them.

A sad day. I just saw Eric's video clip and feel so bad for him. I've owned my XB9S for three years now and love the bike. My plan is to buy some regular spares - pads, belt etc. So I can keep on Buelling.
Harley? Well, like any other company that's in trouble, they have to drop the baggage and go with what they know will bring in the dollars and keep the shareholders happy. The banks are more to blame than Harley - they are the ones that started this crap.
Just be proud that you have a bike that contiues to inspire. I'm one proud Bueller tonight.
A bittersweet posting on a first class forum.

Long Live Buell!.. Nobody accepted us anyway not Harley and not the Japanese Manufacturers either .. We can now stand alone and ride on, on a now Truly American Classic!! Hang in there Erik we will be back!!

I still love the bike and no matter what it will be staying.. I will just stock up on a few parts while I can still get them at a good price.. Not a happy day for anyone..:(
