I have no brake light when i pull in on the front lever, but i do when i press on the rear brake pedal. The running light works fine, just doesn't get "brighter" when i pull in the front brake lever? I can hear the lever "click" meaning the switch is being engaged that allows the electrical current. is there a fuse/relay i should check? any help would be appreciated.

it's possible the front switch went bad easy and cheap to fix get another switch and replace it

guess i'll be going to the stealership today. atleast it's raining so i can't ride anyways.

Check the wires at the tail section of the bike, the ones that hook up to the lights. Mine have come lose a couple of times and had a similar situation. I reattached them and everything worked fine.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the advice guys, it was a loose wire at the switch. i pulled the switch, checked the resistance, then pulled the plastic off and checked the wires in the tail section put it back together and it worked fine.[up][up][up]

the prongs on my switch were REALLY dirt, i just check the resistance with a voltage meter. it read 0 till i pressed the swith in that the brake lever releases. thats how i knew the switch was ok. all the fitting on the clutch side of the bike were fine.

Ok, am I the only one that read the title and thought "as opposed to the front brake light?" Sorry, couldn't help it.

Lol.

Glad it was an easy fix. I was thinking that switch would be a weak point as I was ripping my bike apart. Seemed like kind of a cheezy connection.
