My wife and I went out for a ride on Ida Rd. this afternoon. Great weather for it, too.
This was her first 100+ mile ride on her own bike. [up] I'm one proud husband.
In other news, there are some sections of Ida Rd. that have been repaved. The straight sections are nice, but heads up on the turns. There are a few of them that are developing marbles in the middle and edges of the lanes, as well as kicking the debris over to the opposite lane. Also, on warmer days, the oils are still getting pulled up to the surface making some of the turns a little slick.
Went to leave for work this morning and noticed some pretty large shards of glass in the rear tire. Pulled them out and will find out when I get home if they went through. Went to move the bike and found that the front had gone flat, moved it around and pulled out another shard of glass.
This makes two (possibly three) flat tires in about a month.
Hopefully I can get this taken car of this weekend.
I picked up a large nail or broken drill bit a couple weeks after getting new tires.
The yesterday, somewhere, I picked up the shards of glass. Definitely automotive glass.
I feel like I rarely ride the buell anymore so she's on craigslist..... kinda sad to see her go but all good things must come to an end.
Spread the word.
