since ive had a few days to reflect back i feel like sharing a story. maybe someone will learn from it...

some of you might know that i do a monthly sf night ride. for the ones that dont know, it's a ride where about 75-125 motorcycles get together and cruise the city(san francisco) it's kinda like critical mass on motorcycles.
i sometimes post up treads, "like see the buell" or "spot the buell"
well this past friday was our monthly ride..

the attendance was about average 80-85 bikes. after we had the riders meeting and planed the route. we all fired up and started to roll out. normally my buell brother and i jump to the front of the pack but for some reason i just hung back in the middle of the pack. more just for me to feel out the group. i could tell that there where some antsy people and a few rookies in the group.
about 20 minute into the ride i decide to step it up and work my way to the front. as we where heading down toward the cliff house, i noticed a 750 that was trying to roll with me.
and then everything went in slow motion...i saw this black honda's reverse lights kick on so i started to cut to the left away from the car and the i heard a wiz by my right side and next thing i know im being showered and running though parts of a gsxr750 and dodging a rider.

before you ask yes the guy was fine...gear is the sh-t. and surprisingly the bike was not in that bad of shape.
but one thing i relearned is while riding listen to your spider sense... don't ride over your head... and be aware of your surroundings at all times...

I'm glad that not only was he okay but you and everyone else too.
If you all were riding on the road why did the person in the car obviously stop first and put the car in reverse?

Good to see he was wearing gear, a local fellow army guy wasbkilled in my city on his bike this weekend.
