Oahu Buellers

My wife and I vacationed there this past May and spotted a black 1125cr on north shore. Not sure exactly where but I couldn't believe I spotted a Buell there. Mostly Jap bikes and Harleys. Infact, I went to Waikiki Harley to see about renting a bike while I was there and told them I had a Buell 1125r back home and they acted like they had never heard of a Buell. Anyways, don't live on Oahu but sure do love it there.

Ahhhh I'm so jealous of you guys! I lived in Hawaii back in the day. Wish I could go back and ride there.

Yeah, it is beautiful. and there is some really nice year round riding. However, it is really dangerous.

There have been 3 fatalities in the last week. One of them a friend of mine, she was hit by a car just ridiing through Hawaii Kai.

I remember people driving really fast around the beach area. Lots of blind corners with nowhere to run off unless you want to go off a cliff.

No matter where you live there will be idiot drivers. I have almost gotten run off the road several times around here. Everyone seems to be talking or texting...no good for motorcyclists.

I get on my wife all the time for driving and texting. Been almost hit here more times than i could count by people who drive and text.

So I'm back and the 1125 is coming back together. Hopefully this weekend depending on shipping to the island, but she is parts in a box right now, ready to be put back together with the new parts that are on the way.

I really like the idea of a meet-up.
