well...i'm not one of the mystery buellers, and stay far away from palomar... heard all kinds of things about the residence puttin down hydraulic fluid on the turns to make the bikers wreck... they caughht one guy awhile ago, and his excuse in court was that he was tired of all the noise the bikers make... i have some fun out in orteaga tho....

Thats why you always do a prerun of the mountain before you start to push it. There are to many cars and the never ending presence of the fuzz make Ortega a last resort for me, but Palomar is great IMO. There are kooks everywhere, you just ride with that knowledge in mined and have fun.

nitto, prerun is a must, I'd never just hammer a curve either. I've left work and carved through the industrial park, I almost lost it on a piece of scrap metal someone lost off their truck between when I went out on lunch and when I left. You never know.

well.... i'd like to keep the mentality that kooks are everywhere and just ride... but, once my bike gets dumped, and trashed cuz of some fluid, i wouldn't have that same mindset, and would be goin through withdrawals of no ridin for awhile...lol i'll stick to some mountains with a lil less traffic, and ones that are more conspicuous...
