Parts cross reference thread

Buellxb Forum

Anyone know of an alternative part for the low fuel sensor on an XB12R? Buell part number: P0789.KA

Any cross reference for a cylinder head temp sensor for an 06 xb12?

Use the 2008-2010 version and buy a new connector, or make one, or whatever.
If someone replaced this in the past, the connector may have already been changed.

That connector was used on many GM vehicles in the past, so if you're dead set on using that connector you should be able to find one at your local dealer.

Or you can do what Buell did from 2003-2007 and use a bullet connector. Or use a spade connector, or a two wire power connector (and just use one side). Or you can just cut the ends off and splice and solder. So many options.

awesome, thank you for those options on the connector mods. I am wondering if there is an automotive application that may cross over to the temp sensor that I can grab from o o oreilley. I know he used a lot of car stuff in the design of these bikes and work part time autoparts and like to grab that stuff if i can. I will see what I can find on the computer there tonight. Anyone know the resistance values for a good temp sensor or the thread pitch?

Thank you for your time.

Suggestions on cross reference for PCV valve on '06 Ulysses? There was a cross reference listed in another thread, but the post has been edited and the cross reference is gone. It was for a VW car, IIRC.

BELOW PART NUMBERS purportedly accurate substitutes for the XB series rocker box cover PCV valves though I have NOT personally tried either. As follows:

HARLEY DAVIDSON # 17607-00Y
CARQUEST # PCA-1026
