I see a bobber! I think i still have a seat I chopped in half you can have. I kid... So hey... I see ya wrapped yer stock header... While it was off did ya do any test fitting? My header will be here soon. Yay! Think I decided I should mount it and run it for a bit before ceramic coating it. Just in case.

i wrapped my stock header a yr or so ago, maybe longer.

I have been playing with the new mount and im seeing a problem. The round band clamp we are thinking of using is round- lol... and the header collector is not. Therefore even with everything tight, there is a huge gap in the band

Aaaaah... You are aware the original design uses one clamp yea? The shoe is clamped to the muffler inlet. Where it is round! Ha... You trying to use a second clamp farther forward on the collector where its oblong?
