I think anything on the Ave. side of town would be good. Street side..maybe not so nice. I could be wrong though. What do the people that live there think of the different neighborhoods? [smirk]
I wish I could say money wasnt a issue but in the real life lower costs in the market allow for more mods to the Buells and Trucks so we will be looking for the best price in the best neighborhood just like every other Joe Shmoe out there.
Would like to get somewhere we dont have to pay HOA fees but it seems if you want a nicer neighborhood you have to deal with the added costs. Plus it doesnt help I have to have atleast a 3 stall garage for all the goodies.
Didnt look at the West side at all, since I was told the East side offers more area to open terrain for off-raoding which would be tits with my new truck. But in the end it will all depend on where there is work!
man, u'll find tons of 4X4 & speed runs out towards Bartlett lake. 25 min North of Phoenix, theres sand, hills, lake/marina, insane twisties, bars, cliffs,,,i did it in '04 all summer long.
I like Gilbert because it's fresh and new, and they is very little to no riff-raff. The cops are douchey there, but I think that's the price you pay for a well kept community.
Mesa is cool, but stay East. West Mesa is old and very low income.
Also, we live in a desert, if you live on any side of the city, it's a stone's throw to quality off roading.
How hard is it getting a job in Phoenix area as a cop? I heard the East side is hurting for cops, though a coworker who's son is a cop thinking about moving out there..
It's tough, we had a lot of investors and people buying houses like they were going out of style, now there are foreclosures all over so the cities are hurting financially.
Mesa has/had 25 open positions. They had 2500 applicants.
Hmmmm, guess I will just stick to getting my teaching degree, as the baby boomers will be retiring in the next couple years, as teacher can retire when they are 55yrs old.
Yeah,
everyone is hurting from this housing bubble/economic down turn/recession/depression whatever you want to call it, but if you are lucky enough to have some funding, their are some great deals on those distressed homes. We are going to make more income in 9 months from just one house, fixed and flipped, than I have made in two years with our store!!
Yeah was down there over T-Day and it seemed the housing prices were all over the board.
There are definitely deal out there but you need to look hard to really find what you want. It also doesnt help that we dont know what area of Phoenix we are moving to yet. So finding the perfect house in Suprise doesnt mean **** if we end up with jobs in Gilbert.
I know there are a ton of houses in every area so I guess I will just continue to watch prices throughout the area.
