once my maps were mad and setup right as I covered with Octo who now follows that same path I use to do. no fan is good. I spent a lot of time with Octo getting him current and ect. My Tunerpro work is the super good deal to everything. A long while ago I was told tunerpro would never link to the bikes to stop trying to do it. well over time it linked and with Tunerpros help Mark made the pluging to read and write for me with the data passed along. I spent years on this and I am not making a dime from tunerpro programming... where is my cut because without my work on T-pro would not exist... I feel cheated to a point.

I would hazard to say that if your bike isn't pinging or sputtering or running oddly even when it's hot then you're probably OK. I would imagine the no-fan issue is because of the custom map setup...though I am not sure why you'd turn it off when making a map, but that's just me.
