Yes, I applied RTV silicone black to seal leaking stator wires grommet and it works superb already many miles with no any sign of oil leak. I would say never install stator without applying this stuff.

Why not use it only, if its that resistant ? From the information , it could form the actual gasket ?

When you must Rotate a engine, You dont take any chances, So I use both, fill the gasket groove with RTV then the gasket and more RTV on top then tighten it up. I have read when guys change rocker gaskets and shortly after they leak , something went wrong.

I just did mine and if I were to do it again I would remove the frame from the engine. I cleaned everything while it was apart. It wasn't just a gasket replace job for me, I took time to inspect everything as I had bought the bike last year.
