Handy thread though now I'm nervous because I have all balls bearings for mine lemme walk out to the car and grab em to get part number

My girlfriend has a 2009 CityX with Hero Blue wheels, the original rear had bad bearings. I bought a spare rear wheel, Hero Blue that also developed bad bearings. None of the other color wheels we have had this issue.

hey can anybody tell me the rear wheel bearing for my 03 xb9s? not the part number E0005.02ab/ somebody wrote 6006-2rs-1-c3 that bearing grade is a c3/ you might want to find a c4 or c5 grade bearing. what did they do in 04 put 3 bearings in that rear rim? them bearings look cheesy and small on e-bay. and made in china junk or south korean i cant do that. let me know if you can help

i have a 03 xb9s the bearings are orange/i am not taking any chances all you guys have had real close calls/most of the bearing companies are selling crap made in china or just is bad the buell oem bearing comes from south korea i cant do that either so i did allitle research and a real safe and super strong bearing is a NTN 6006LL there a c4 grade bearing and for 2 there were $25.00 yea made in japan but they use them in transmissions in honda and toyotas they dont fail.and at 60-70mph and having bearing failure/HELL NO/YOU MIGHT NO SURVIVE

C3 is clearance. C4 is tighter than C3 and it is for more precision applications. I'm not sure that tighter clearance will work better on high RPM under load because it will take more heat and worst lubrication, in addition thermal expansion with close clearance will load the bearings + any debris in the precision bearing can damage it even worst. They use these C4 bearing in the transmissions because transmissions mechanism needs less bearings freeplay, all transmission bearings immersed in oil, so they have less thermal load and better lubrication environment, and there are no debris in the transmission, plus transmission bearings do not have extra load unlike the wheel bearings.
