Redline-- Really how often?

I must be doing something wrong. Ive never hit a rev limiter on my bike,,,, Nor have I ever had the front wheele off the ground... This is my 3rd summer with my 2010 xb9sx, and I've started trying to give'er a bit, trying to get the front wheele off, and it wont happen...

Maybe Im missing something here.... (btw my laptop is busted and my question mark key doesnt work,....)

I've only hit it a couple times while wheelying... I try to shift around 6.5k when I'm riding her at speed, and there's no sense banging her off the limiter needlessly--but it happens.

When out for a ride, about every 3rd ride.

i came from the evil world of yamaha. the first time i rode the buell i thought it was out of gas, sputtering and such. looked down and the damn thing was in the red. im still trying to master not hitting the red, but it seems like thats the signal when its time to shift.
