I ordered the right side air scoop from Downtown Harley about a month ago and they haven't even received it yet. I personally think this is ********! Has anybody else had any problems receiving Buell parts that have been ordered through Harley? I'm so pissed off right now!

Took my "local" HD/buell stealer 3 weeks for a set of keys. And since they came as a pair and not singles to keep them from getting burned they charged me twice. If I break a key again I think I'll just dissmantle it and but new lock sets from buellster.

Oh and I was also told by the local buell dealer (about an hour away) that my local HD shop (about 5 mins away) could order buell parts. Makes sense right seeing how HD owns what's left of buell. Local HD said no so I had to drive that hour just so they can prove I am who I say I am. I hate HD.

I agree with you on that! My HD/Buell dealer said that I'm at their mercy. I told the guy that I've been waiting for too long to be at their mercy. I'm waiting for that right side air scoop so that I can install my LED light kit and all my other accessories. I've already bought and paid for this product so I don't know why they haven't received it yet? Ef them. I'll be doing more of my shopping online now. Thank god for Craigslist and Ebay.

I ordered my right side scoop from my hd dealer and it took 5 weeks. I thought they would have hooked me up since i use to work there but no such luck.

I have an airbox cover on order that has already taken 3 weeks and the guy expects about 2 more.

Parts are available for the next 7 years, but you are going to wish you didnt have to order them.

Got mine from Zylstra HD in St. Charles. Took them about 2.5 weeks to get everything.

I also ordered a set of keys from them and they got those in a week and a half.

I just got my outer scoop today after a month and a half. Still waiting on the inner.

OK, so I have some parts on order at my local Harley Dealership and its weird that they all come in at random days..every single part came at least a week apart from each other..and I have a right scoop on order also and its been a month and a half [confused] BUT the factory bolts to the scoop came in pretty much within 10 days..how goofy is that? My dealership is actually a bunch of hella cool guys who welcomed me in when I only had a Yamaha R1 and I am certain it's not their fault BUT I am very frustrated in the amount of waiting..but I guess I should have thought of that when I decided to buy my first Buell..It's a love and hate thing I guess

I ordered the right side scoops and frame pucks from surdyke.com, but after what everyone else said I'm not expecting them to get here any time soon. Other than that I'll definitely try to buy anything I need off of ebay or on here. Those are just two parts you don't really see for sale. I can't really complain because I bought my bike after I knew that I was never going to be able to get parts for it from a dealership. I'm just going to have to try to keep my bike from breaking, and hope to find a cheap parts motor someday for when something does break.

It's sad to know I bought a bike that I'm not going to be able to ride how I'd like to, but I'm gonna try to be nice to it, and maybe in a few years I'll just buy a cheap japanese bike that I can beat the hell out of. My choice was to buy a Buell and be nice to it, or buy a japanese bike and do whatever I wanted to it, and the Buell still sounded like the better option. I'm also really hoping that maybe once EBR racing really gets moving that they may be able to make some replacement parts, although I'm not sure how all that would be worked out with HD. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they didn't let Buell make parts even though they had no plans of making them themselves, just as a general kick in the nuts to the Buell community.

Gents....get ahold of Randy Hawkins from Hawk Mufflers. It will be in your hand in two days... period

Are you saying that Randy, who makes mufflers, is also making right side air scoops and has so many in stock that he can have them to our door steps withen two business days?

Randy Hawk has the stash of missing right hand scoops? At least now I know why I have been waiting so long. JK:D But seriously, HE has a bunch of factory scoops for sale and I can see it in a couple of days? That would rock...

You could also check Buellster. That's where I got mine. It cost a little more than going thru Harley , but I had it in about 3 days. Well worth the extra money to me.

Got an under warranty clutch cable that's been on order now for about a month. Supposed to be in tomorrow.

if a H-D dealership tells you they can't order Buell parts, they probably can't

all of the parts that have Harley-Davidson number on them that go on your Buell they can order, but there are some Buell-specific part numbers on some of the pieces that are not processed through the same system

if you just show up armed with a list of part numbers, they will put them in the computer and probably get most of it for you no problem; but a lot of the dealers that never carried Buells won't have the parts manuals or anything to do lookup for you

I ordered mine about a week ago from asb, then got an email from them saying it was on backorder, but I'm not upset they have done good by me so far.:)

I talked to Al from ASB and he advised they have 30 of them on backorder for the past 6 weeks. He stated he talked to HD who advised HD was waiting on the supplier to manufacture more.

I try to stay away from HD doing **** for me anymore. My swingarm took 7 weeks to get. 6 times I was told it would be on the truck "Wednesday". LOL I would think any other shop worth a crap (who wanted to make money) would get from another supplier temporarily...Customer service is dead.
