I feel bad and usually try to buy things from dealers/shops before I venture online, but usually service can just be so bad anymore than I end up going back online and not feeling bad about it. It would be nice to find a good local shop that could get me parts, but I don't know any yet. I'll have to ask around.

Just got an email from surdyke saying my order is supposed to be delivered on the 14th! I already got my frame pucks a week or two ago, so this should be my air scoop. If any of you guys have been waiting, hopefully yours are being shipped out too. I ordered the two pieces, so hopefully they're shipping both, and not just one...

I have one that I'm never going to use. Bought both the larger and smaller one to pick which I liked better... decided on the small. PM if interested.

i orderd my scoop in jan. it took 1 week i orded a second scoop in may and im still waiting for it with no time frame answers. makes me scared i will not be able to buy new parts if it brakes in a year or 2..

I worry about that too, but I just got my bike a month ago, and new that was gonna be the case going in. I'd be much more upset about it if I bought my bike when I thought I was always going to be able to get parts for it.

Hey,just got an email from Al at asb, says he has those right side scoops now, told him to get mine to me for sure.[up]:D

Mine came in the mail today. The hardest part was getting the old scoop off. For some reason the hole at the back of the scoop wasn't big enough to get around the bracket it was bolted to. Finally came off. Looks like it had started to melt a little at the back as well. Looking forward to trying it out, especially since I pulled that heat guard off the bottom of my seat since it was turning everything under my seat silver.

For anyone that is curious, the 3 bolts you need to buy are 10-32. I got them 3/4 long(That's SAE by the way, not metric, which I'm sure you knew.). I've heard people using half inch, but I put a washer and locking washer on mine and don't think half inch would've cut it. I'm gonna go to home depot tomorrow to get some better bolts. Lowes selections of bolts always sucks, but I wanted to put it on tonight so I used when I could get.

If anyone wants a unique Buell rss, I'm selling my police model. It has the same part number as the standard one and I got it by mistake. Kept it and bought another one. $25 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

Got my rss today from asb,put it on just as fast as I could, looks real good, will post pics soon, have about 20 projects going on at the same time.

Try americansportbike.com for your aftermarket bolt on needs. I have had real good luck with these guys. Some stuff is a little pricey but so is ordering anythig from an HD stealership.

Got my scoop from ASB last week. Noticed it was made in June 2010 so hot off the press! Should be back in stock now.

Just an FYI with the right side scoop I noticed on the wideband it changed my AFR. Need to do some more tuning and get it back inline. With the increased airflow to the rear cylinder at WOT I am now running a little too rich. Just something to think about to all those tuners! Some of the small factors you don't think about.
