Yes you will need the under tray and battery tray/holder and thats it so its the 4 things you need, 1. L/H seat rail, 2. R/H seat rail, 3. plastic under tray, and 4. the metal battery tray then its a case of take your time and do a practice assembly before you start cutting stuff up! hello, I just bought a 12x ully. I really want to convert the tail section to the lightning. looking for parts and advice of what i will need to complete the conversion. From what I'm reading it sounds like i want to stick with the ss tail section. let me know thanks

New to forum really want to see these pics because I’m doing this to my bike this winter! How do I change my profile to view them?

It's photobucket not your settings on the forum. Photobucket now charges to host your pics.

Thanks man! Just ordered all parts for this conversion! Just trying to get an in depth how to on modifying the rails to fit

I just finished putting a firebolt tail on an ss. Was pretty easy. Minor welding /drilling/ thread tapping. It's a solo bike so I put the pcm and other electronics under the rear cowl were the seat would go.

My friend laid his ss down on the dragon so repairs were needed and the bolt parts were readily available at a good price.
