Are these just for the 98 and earlier crowd or are they for the 99-02 crowd as well?

I'm pretty sure they will fit almost any tuber from 95-02. For sure M2, X1 and S1.

Im enjoying this topic/thread. You sir are a bad influence, I want to do the same thing on my Tuber (a 1997 S1)
Keep us updated on these frame brackets you came up with,, id be interested in a set.
maybe i missed something,,,,,,,, but id be interested in WHAT YOU WOULD DO DIFFERENT if you did this again, also feedback on riding and how it all worked out.
this a HUGE help to me when i embark on this project.
many thanks for posting this. +1 from me. ;)

I glad you like the build and I'm glad to be a bad influence in your Buell world!

Update on how it rides, it rides better than factory actually. The only disadvantage I have found is moving it around in the garage. The turning radius is horrible. But has no ill effect while riding. It actually rides just as well as my XB and 1125.

WHAT YOU WOULD DO DIFFERENT if you did this again

Next time I think I will either have my own steering stem made or have a spacer made and use the XB stem. I would actually like to make it as a kit and make it so you can do this mod with no machine work to the XB trees. I might even go with the big tubes off of a 1125.

As for the motor mount brace. The vibration is way less with this "stenzel" brace. I have riden it for about a 40 mile loop and I am actually amazed with the amount engine vibration that is gone. I do have to however take it back off for a few tweaks to make sure it's prefect before it goes to a full on production piece.

I have to say purpony told me that I would actually love this bike once it was done. The guy is spot on! It rides and looks amazing! I am extremely happy with the way this bike turned out and can't wait to get started on the next one.

It's interesting that you mention you'd prefer to go with the XB stem. I've been thinking that would be the best way for me to go since I don't have an X1 stem to transplant. If you or purpony would be up to it, I'd be more than happy to take the measurements and be a guinea pig for going the spacer route...hit me up at [email protected] if either of you are interested so I don't cloud up your thread with too much of a tangent. I'm definitely interested in the stenzel brace when you're ready to sell them though!

Very soon! We have modified the CAD file for a little more room around the neck and a easier install.

I'll send you a email Nick. Thanks!

The updated and production designed "Stenzel" bars are being cut as we speak. I will be createing another thread for this mod. I will also be selling these Prototypes at a discounted rate. These bars really do work and I can't believe that Buell didn't do this as a p&a or production part. The reduction in vibration is just amazing!

I have been looking for years for one of these seats. Finally found one! Much much more comfortable than my stock Euro seat. Looks awesome too!

Have to say. You guys are the best, contributing to everyone in this comunity. If you, red93stang could sign me up for the stenzel braze i would very much appriciate it.

Maybe you guys dont know me. After all, I have only been lurking around here and badweb for a year. Asking some of you stupid questions. I have actually been in contact with both purpony regarding his tail. And you red93stang through a couple of purchases on ebay. :)

Ive saved one badly neglected x1's in texas. Sent it all the way to norway in europe last year and made it ridable last winter. I have now a set of xb wheels i want to put on it.

Regarding the front wheel conversion. Have any one of you guys tried to change just the part on the bottom of the x1/s1 suspension tube with an xb bottom? (Just the alu part that connects the wheel/caliper) I see there could be alignement issues. But has anyone tried?

Ive tried to remove the paint on the front wheel with no luck. Anyone have any ideas on how i should proceed? Alredy used paintstripper with steam blasting and sandblasting with little luck.

Very good! Hope you liked the products. I do remember sending several things to Norway.

I can do that! The production pieces should be here this week. I will fit them up to my bike, if everything looks good then we will start another thread and take orders.

It seems to me that someone has tried that without out success. I know purpony had his forks apart and tried a few different things but ended up converting the trees. I have been working with a few people that are doing this conversion. We are going to try and come up with a spacer instead of doing a bunch of machine work and utilizing the XB steering stem.

They are power coated. That would be a question for Pur Pony. I know guys have chemically stripped them and bead blasted also.

Found drawings on the stenzel braze. Maybe ill try to makake one for myself. :)

Regarding the 65 rear pulley. I made a new drawing of a 61 tooth one in emachineshop.com (this is a cool company. I have used them several times.)
Its possible to have them make 10pcs for approx 280-290 a pcs. even less if 20 is ordered. My only problem is norwegian taxes, shipping and a fucxed up world economy.

Exactly, thats why I used a 40 dollar (used) 2010 Buell part.
