^that's a possibility.

I have a plan though to mount a round "ordinary" type voltage gauge, and possibly another gauge if needed in the future(maybe a/f ratio, who knows what I'll do down the road, psi, etc). It'd look real clean and be an easy install. I'm just not sure 2" would fit. I think 1.5" would be better. Of course I need to measure to see, but I was just thinking about it on lunch...

ah I was thinking this would be a good way to go. Not sure on round gauges, id have to search just like you.

I really like the idea of a single led to monitor the voltage. I was not able to find anything else similar.

I think I like the single LED with multiple colors, really simple, cheap, and looks factory

That's exactly what I would do. Looks like it belongs and gives you the info you're looking for. Curious to see how yours turns out.

I did something like bigrodge, except i mounted mine inside the instrument cluster in the unused area of indicator lights. Ill have to try to get a pic up soon.

^pic please. That's the reason I don't like that style is because they look unfinished and I'm not a fan of double sided tape. I'd like to do something that is permanent and looks clean.

[up] Looks good bigR

Very tempting but I've heard its a pita to get to the gauge on the bolt. Might use your idea while I have the bike pulled apart prepping for the Dragon.

Do you have a link for the gauge you used? Mine looks to big.

Edit: Just thought about taking mine out the housing.

Possibly?

Thanks Kona. I had put together some kits, with a full walk through, including cutting templates but nobody was interested so I scrapped the project.
