So when I move my bike I hear something rolling in the hawk exhaust. it sounds round because it rolls back and forth. the hawk exhaust is hollow right? theres nothing in there? I have no idea if its a broken baffle, a round screw, a mouse brought a marble in there?! its worrying me because im scared if I decelerate it might suck back up into the motor.......

any ideas what it could be? Im taking my pipe off this week and see if i can shake it out.

Probably the baffle they're known to break off in the Hawk's from what I've read on here in the past.

I don't understand the rolling though because I've seen pics of the inside and the baffle is just a rectangular piece of metal.

Inside of the hawk exhaust

im going to say no on the weld slag. i bet its the same thing that happened to me and several other people like flaxb9r suggested.

That's weird that it would roll around tho. Ill take it apart and try to shake it out and we will see

you sure it rolls and its not just sliding, can you still see the baffle in the end? does it sound big

They are pretty open, so just stick one of those telescopic pick up magnets in there and see if you can fish something out. May take a few tries to not just stick to the pipe itself.

it's no concern whatever it is. It's impossible for it to be "sucked" in to the engine. Even on deceleration the exhaust is still pushing AWAY from the cylinder...

thats all I care about. ill try the magnet idea, ill take the pipe off and shake it out. its kept indoors but who knows a mouse could have tried to store his possessions in there.
