I have heard three versions
1 it was coined after WWII when military personnel were returning home and had little to do with most of the factories being converted to war efforts and fully employed at the time began to purchase motorcycles. riding fast and risking life and limb on two wheels was becoming a common practice among the war veterans. the most noticeable were the navy sailors wearing white uniforms.
2 when road racing motorcycles was becoming popular along the west coast many younger riders began to get involved and many veterans of the sport referred to them as squirreley kids (to describe the hyper active and often reckless actions while both riding a motorcycle and their actions in the paddock areas), this was either mis heard or shortened to squids.
3 a squid is a creature known for its straight line speed but needs to slow to a near stop to turn. new bikers can exhibit the same tendency slowing greatly for corners and then accelerating wildly once the road goes straight again.

Squids wear no protection, deeming themselves invincible. This fact compounds intself with the fact that they engage in 'extreem riding'--performing wheelies and stoppies in public areas. Squids wreck alot. Derived from 'squirly kid'

A young man on an incredibly over powered motorcycle, wearing nothing but a helmet.
The term derives from what is discernable from his corpse:
A helmet with stringy fleshy bit dangling from the bottom.

hahha squid pirates.
The picture was taken outside the auditions for the new Village People. It is a summer replacement/reality show on Fox. Since Orange County Choppers isn't on the air anymore, Paul Sr, Paulie, and Mikey will all audition in an attempt to get in the new Village People. Hilarity will ensue and it will be a ratings bonanza!

I don't like passengers on BamBam (he is not too keen either)
But on the few occasions I put the passenger pegs on and gear my wife up in all her DH armour from head to toe, remind her of how I would like her to interact with me and BamBam, only then do I feel a little more confident aboot her riding with me..
I then ATGATT myself for the ride....
seeing a fellow Bueller dressed in so little AND having someone they love on the back who is also not dressed for riding a motorcycle makes me a little sad/mad BUT to each their own...
I did not want to be a dick and call him a squid on that thread and he may also ATGATT 99% of the time but a picture is worth 1000 words imo...
