Stalling

Hi,
Puzzled at this problem, Buell Xb9s has been stood for a while and had dead battery, battery was replaced and bike ran for 2 short trips. Now however it starts but when releasing the clutch it stalls - every time!... The 'check engine light' comes on also... any solutions known?...

Hello filgil, you may want to check the kick stand switch, if it goes bad, the bike will think that the stand is down and kill the ignition.
