Tail Light Enhancement Mod Idea

I have a fear of being hit in the rear by someone so I cme up with this idea. I'm sure someone has already done it though. I added some red accent LED strips but wired them to come on when the brake light comes on. Looks good at night - very noticeable!

Difficult to see in this daylight photo though.

I'v seen some people open up their tail light and line the rear case behind the light with tin foil to make it brighter.

You think that business with the tin foil really helps? I've thought about doing something like that, or even just one of those spray painted chrome/mirror finishes, but haven't messed with it yet.

you can get this aluminum tape from home depot or lowes. It's for ducting I think. That might work.

The inside of my housing is already painted silver. How about some of that spray-bomb paint in chrome? Seems though I've seen it...

Anyone using the license plate bat sold by Aerostitch? I'm thinking of using that to increase my visibility.

They are flexible LED strips with 3m backing tape on them. The stuff is STRONG so I just stuck them on. I cleaned the area with Acetone first though and I believe that really helped the tape adhere even better.

i got this tail light. has an outer ring that is on permanently and the inner is hte brake. LED so works a treat.

pete from srwmoto here in aus sorted them. tinted tail light lense, and LED replacement tail light kit. have ahd it for a couple of years now.
