Taking passenger hangers off

Hi all, i just got a buell firebolt. I believe this has been covered but when taking off the passenger hangers is there any complications or can they just be taken off. also is there any plastic pieces i can buy to put in the holes the will be left after i take them off?

2 bolts per side and they are off, put the bolts you took off back in and the holes are filled.

just a note, I take mine on and off all the time, and I always find that when I take them off I like to reduce the rear rebound and compression by about 0.25 of a turn.

believe it or not it does make a difference as you're removing about 5-7 lbs off the back of the bike.

Do i have to put the bolt back in the hole? they stick out and it looks a little awkward.

For adjusting rebound and compression turn the screw all the way clockwise, that is maximum.

Dont worry it is easy just make sure you mirror left and right on the forks.

My bike came with them off (brackets/pegs), and I'm wanting to put them back on for the wife...
