Sticky? What's that? Why would I read something at the top of the list, when I can just ask and have the copy/paste answer spoon fed to me. I'm just going to argue about your answer anyway:mad-new:

THIS ISNT FACEBOOK!!!

My un-maintained, beat on bike won't start and I don't know how to use a hammer. Can you look in your crystal ball and fix it for free with no information?
And where do I get my free Racing program? I don't want to learn how or why. I just want it done for free.

I must be getting old.

Get off my lawn!!!

I totally agree with cooter and oh9bolt on this but come on chaps you were in their position back in the day! ha ha just for a laugh do either of you remember what your first ever post/question was? and anyone else remember theirs? :D

One reasons I stay at this forum over the other Buell forum and Facebook is the people here. Everyone seemed nicer and more willing to help. It's more of a brotherhood because we ride the bikes we do. If it weren't for new people here this forum would die out. We are getting to be Buell veterans now. It's our attitudes and posts to new people that determine the future of this site.

And thank you too buell248 for your input and helping me with stuff!! We are all in this thing together and need to stick together! I love it on here for the help and the social stuff! :eagerness:

I don't mind answering questions, I actually enjoy it! I have learned a ton on this forum too. Even the same questions are ok, just scroll past the answer and ask it again...grrr

it just seems the new generation likes to ask a question and then argue about the answer because they know everything already:( that makes me grumpy.

I think my first question on this forum was about asking what kind of muffler I had. I posted a pic of it. I had just bought an 03 Firebolt and didn't know a damn thing about it. Some patient old timer told me it was a Race Muffler. Seems silly now. I wish I had that exhaust on my 06 Uly now!

I like FaceBook for the accessibility of the pictures and the fun stuff. The tech stuff though belongs here all day, every day. I don't know how much easier it can get than punching your question into a box and clicking it. Then you get tons of different answers.

I think the problem is that some people on here are getting a bit too impatient with the new members of this site. I'm sorry but if you don't want to read the posts about someone's beat up bike, skip it... Sorry but that is generally the reason most people get involved in forums in the first place and guess what, you all started somewhere too. I know I certainly don't know everything and pretty sure nobody here does either, so that is why we can all share what little knowledge we do have to help each other out. This is the only forum I belong to now as the rest were full of people complaining and attacking others for questions and "stupid" posts. Sorry for the rant guys!!

The only stupid posts are the ones that obviously have had little effort and even less knowledge and information put into them.
I understand we all started somewhere. That's true for a lot of things in life. However, it's important to learn from our own mistakes and the mistakes we see others make.

The amount of information, and the quality of the information, that goes into a post is directly related to the quality of information that is received/reciprocated via said post.

What he said^^^^^^

There is a big difference between "Hey guys, I have a '03 XBS that I bought 3 months ago. It's been running fine as my daily commuter but it just started to sputter and miss when it was hot and now I have a engine light on? I searched 'codes' and 'engine' but didn't find anything, is there a better way to search? The STICKY I read mentioned CEL. Whats that?"

vs.

"HELP!!! My yellow bike don run good u gotta hep me now!!! youmusfixitformerightnowIgottagittoworkortheyfunnafiremeforbeinlateagin!!"
