Well, started it up the other night to just let it run and build oil pressure. The noise was going away a little then I went around to the right side and saw the header glowing. I know it can be normal, but I shut it off. So I'm going to pull the injectors and plugs. Clean the injectors, and take a look at the plugs.

Never jump to conclusions. I just started it again and the sound was gone. The muffler was just hanging from the header, so I threw my Jack under it and the noise came back. Put some pressure on the muffler and it was gone. So, looks like all along it was the muffler rattling around....

Getting closer, work on the bike has slowed down. Just missing a couple little pieces and will be done.

Overestimated the rear brakes in this video... No front brakes yet.

Nice work, came out really clean. I forgot how quiet these are with a factory muffler.

Still has a couple little things left, but I'm happy with the way this has come out so far. By the way, I hate the firebolt riding position...

So, back in town, and back at it. Have everythin I need now, trying to finish it up today. Also, already have a sale pending in the bike....

Yeah, it's a friend/co-worker, it will be nice to not sit on it for months if it does go through.

did you get it sold? I was at Rex's house last week Thursday to give him the title to the bike, he rode it over the weekend...think he's got that stupid grin on his face

Basically it's sold, I have the money, he has the title. Although I still have the bike, fixing up a couple more things for him first. I hope to be done tonight, if not it should be done by the weekend at the latest. For now anyways, I owe him a fork rebuild at some point because I never got around to it. These forks are not that bad, just a slight leak on the right side.

One thing after another, got the intake leak fixed, now it won't shift again. I'm thinking a spring is stretched or something. Maybe tomorrow it will be rideable....

Late on the update, the bike was up to my standards last week, and after a few test rides, it was delivered to the new owner.

Funny you say that, I was really tempered to make an offer on a 1125R I found in Yuma the other day. Didn't quite have the money, but was really cheap, the guy ended up trading it for a Harley. Turns out he was part of the Facebook group.

Anyways....keep an eye out for a new thread...I have everything I need to build another one...
