I'm new bike rider with my very first bike and when I hear stories like this one I start to be so afraid to get on a bike and just ride...
Push out the fear and let in the confidence in knowing you can ride at whatever level you happen to be at. "Push it" a little at a time and be happy with the outcome. The nice thing with these bikes is that, just a little push, leads to bigger and better things. No need to ride scared, just go at you're own pace so you're instincts will develop and you'll be prepared for those emerg. situations.

yea, I know I have another thread, but as an update to this one, I had to go to emergency surgery about 6 hours after I was transfered out of ICU. Something surfaced after all that time.

But, I am out and on the road to recovery. I can't ride until I am completely healed up, so it will be a while :(

I am probably going to ride on the slower roads when I decide I'm ready. No freeways or riding to work for quite awhile.
